What are medical aesthetics?
Medical aesthetics treatments use an FDA approved purified form of neuromodulator protein. When it is injected into certain facial muscles, this minimally invasive treatment works to block the neurotransmission of the nerves to the muscle, essentially relaxing the muscles temporarily and limiting movement of the muscles. The limited movement or decreased contractions reduce the appearance of wrinkles and lines, resulting in the overall appearance of smoother and more youthful skin. You will see results gradually over the course of 3-7 days following injection, and the effects typically last between 3-4 months. Medical Aesthetics are commonly used to treat crow’s feet, between the eyebrows, and on the forehead.
